Year 8 Group Notices

Welcome to Year 8

The Year 8 theme this year is 'Growing Together'.

Personal growth is a process of both understanding yourself and pushing yourself to reach your highest potential. It is about being the best version of yourself. It is about asking yourself who you are becoming and how you plan to get there. It includes growing in faith and increasing ones spiritual awareness. The Bible contains various passages that speak about the concept of growth, both in a spiritual and personal sense.

We are called to a growth mindset (1 Peter 2:1-5). God is infinite; we will never stop learning about him on this side of glory.

God is committed to the process of our growth. (Philippians 3:12-16).

Marie Madeleine lived her own life with courage and confidence, and courage and confidence became a prayerful wish she often offered to others and she now offers this prayer to us.

Charity

Assembly Rota

Year 8 assembly day is a Tuesday, held in Marie Madeleine Hall, where we come together to hold collective worship and celebrate successes of pupils.

At Bellerive we encourage each form to deliver at least one assembly to their peers. These assemblies will have a given theme which is linked to a specified scripture and liturgical calendar or key date.

Students with form tutors will decide which assembly they wish to deliver.
