Ofsted

Ofsted March 2026

Bellerive was inspected by Ofsted in March 2026, following the full inspection that took
place. We are incredibly proud of our school community—our pupils, staff, governors,
families and carers - who all contributed to such a positive and affirming inspection outcome.

The report highlights many of the strengths that make Bellerive such a special place. Inspectors recognised the consistently calm, purposeful and respectful atmosphere across the school, as well as the excellent behaviour of our pupils who embody our values. They noted the strong relationships between staff and pupils, the high quality of our pastoral care, and the safe, supportive culture that enables pupils to thrive. Ofsted October 2021

Bellerive was inspected by Ofsted in October 2021.  The inspection confirmed that we remain a good school.  After all of the challenges that our pupils, students, staff and families have faced over the last two years we are incredibly proud of this.

"Pupils told inspectors that they trust that staff have their best interests at heart. Staff support and care about pupils as individuals.  They expect pupils to flourish.  Pupils feel confident to be themselves because staff foster a positive culture of tolerance and respect."

Archdiocese of Liverpool

We were inspected by the Archdiocese of Liverpool under Section 48 of the Education Act in June 2017.  The inspection report can be accessed below and confirms that Bellerive remains an outstanding Catholic college in all regards. It concluded that:

"Pupils feel safe and secure because the pastoral system is caring, inclusive and just.  They belong and want to be here.  They are confident that their educational needs are met and personal potential fully explored.  Pupils are confident to be themselves."
