Starting out in secondary school is a massive step and an important one.
It’s a new start, were you have the chance to build new friendships and learn new skills and understanding.
We live our FCJ values in everything we do, Excellence, Companionship, Dignity, Hope, Justice and Gentleness.
- Be the best Companion to your new friends, enjoy their company and let them enjoy yours, show true friendship.
- Be the best person to offer Dignity to others in need, if you see someone in distress, help and support them.
- Be the best at being Excellent, being excellent doesn’t have to be the cleverest, be the best person you can be, always give 100% effort!
- Be the best person, acting with Justice, demonstrating what’s right in everything you do, being a model citizen, being in the right relationship with God, self and others.
- Be the best person, demonstrating Hope, inspiring those around us, persevering and never giving up when faced with difficulties and disillusionment, showing resilience.
- Finally, be the best person you can be by being Gentle in manner, treating others as you wish to be treated.
Our Scripture for the year is:
Phillippians 4:13:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
This verse emphasizes the strength and capability that we find through our faith in Christ. The verse encompasses everything the FCJ values stand for. It reminds us that we can endure trials and hardships when we keep Jesus in our minds.
Our theme this year is Be the BEST version of yourself you can be!

The vice form captain is a prestigious role and students are selected in discussion with the form group.

The Noticeboard Monitor
- The noticeboard monitor is responsible for the form noticeboard. They will:
- Organize the display at the start of, and throughout, the year
- keep notices and posters up to date; replacing the half term focus, updating the attendance poster, ensuring the latest version of extra-curricular activities is displayed amongst other year group specific notices.
- ensure that the correct week A/B is displayed on a Monday morning.
- Ensure the board is kept in good and tidy condition all year.
Y7 Charity/Fundraising Rota:
The chosen charity for us to raise funds this half term is Claire House.
Each term we consider worthy charities to raise funds for.
E.g. Last year we became aware of Zoe’s place in danger of closing, so we supported fundraising to assist them in meeting their targeted goals.
Year 7 Form Assembly Rota
Year 7 assembly day is a Monday, held in Marie Madeleine Hall, where we come together to hold collective worship and celebrate successes of pupils.
At Bellerive we encourage each form to deliver at least one assembly to their peers. These assemblies will have a given theme which is linked to a specified scripture and liturgical calendar or key date.
Students with form tutors will decide which assembly they wish to deliver.
