Ofsted - Bellerive School



Bellerive was inspected by Ofsted in October 2016.  The inspection confirmed that we remain a good school.

Bellerive’s English department was rated as “Outstanding” by Her Majesty’s inspectorate in March, 2014.

Bellerive was rated as “Good with outstanding features” by Ofsted inspectors in June, 2012. In particular, they praised the students for their behaviour and their “exemplary levels of courtesy”.

Archdiocese of Liverpool

We were inspected by the Archdiocese of Liverpool under Section 48 of the Education Act in June 2017.  The inspection report can be accessed below and confirms that Bellerive remains an outstanding Catholic college in all regards. It concluded that “Pupils feel safe and secure because the pastoral system is caring, inclusive and just. They belong and want to be here. They are confident that their educational needs are met and personal potential fully explored. Pupils are confident to be themselves”

The Archdiocese Of Liverpool conducted a monitoring visit of the Catholic life of the school on 14th January 2020.  Please see below for the letter summarising the findings of the visitation:

The inspectors from the Archdiocese who visited us in 2012 found Bellerive to be “outstanding” in every aspect: “Bellerive FCJ is an outstanding Catholic College committed to its vision of ‘personal and academic excellence’. Outcomes for individuals and groups of pupils are outstanding.
