We are always delighted to hear about our students achievements outside of school so we were very pleased hear from Shassen D in Year 11 about her progress in her chosen sport of boxing. Shassen has written a short update for us which you can read below. Well done to Shassen and we wish her continued success in the ring!
“My name is Shassen D and I am a 15 year old boxer who fights at amateur level, competing at the weight of 57kg. 6 weeks ago I became England’s national development champion in Brambury. I have been boxing for nearly a year now. However, I used to do box when I was younger but had never taken part in a competition; just in shows. Since Brambury I have competed in the National Amateur championships and have gained another title which I am very happy about. My aims for next year are to become a part of the England team, where I will go on weekends away and train in various places such as Sheffield. There, professional boxers such as Anthony Joshua train. I also aim to gain many more titles and possibly go to fight abroad for England”
