Students and staff at Bellerive FCJ Catholic College are celebrating some excellent A level results today. Students have achieved grades allowing them to accept their university offers across a wide range of subjects including History, Chemistry, Music, Engineering, English Literature, Criminology, Psychology, Primary teaching and Nursing.
Particular successes include Jessica Muirhead who achieved 3 A grades and is heading to the University of Liverpool to begin her course in Hispanic Studies as well as Aysha Russell who achieved 4 A level passes at grades A and B. Aysha will now begin a course in Mechanical Engineering, also at the University of Liverpool. Sophie Donnelly, who is a member of the Liverpool Philharmonic youth orchestra and a Grade 8 musician, will continue her musical studies in London at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
Another Bellerive student, Rebecca Dolan, is travelling a little further as she is off to to start a History degree at Queen’s University, Belfast. Rebecca is one of a number of Bellerive students to gain access to courses at highly competitive Russell Group universities this year.
Students received their results in the brand new sixth form building overlooking Sefton Park, competed with support from the Mayor of Liverpool’s capital investment team. Headteacher Sr Brigid said, “We are very proud of all our students receiving results today and wish them all the best in whatever pathway they take. The next generation of Bellerive students will be lucky enough to benefit from these wonderful new surroundings and we look forward to celebrating their achievements in the years ahead.”
